Yiannos Trisokkas attended the Third Plenary Session at BestLegal’s Second Annual Conference of Legal Practitioners held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus. Trisokkas delivered a detailed presentation on Cyprus’s Citizenship by Investment and Permanent Residency programmes and also analysed the impact of the Cypriot government’s latest legislative reforms on the programmes, as well as their benefits.
Yiannos further discussed several other alternate citizenship and residency programmes offered on the international stage, with a particular focus on Europe by presenting a comparison of how such programmes fare against each other in the European continent, their policy making process and challenges, as well as EU member states’ procedures for citizenship acquisition. Alternative citizenship was noted as a solution to fundamental problems in generating and conducting business, whilst successful methods in avoiding common pitfalls from state mechanisms and law firms’ promotion of such schemes were also explored.

Organised by the Successful Business Magazine, a member of the Vestnik Kipra Communications Group of companies, the BestLegal Conference gathered international businessmen, legal Yiannos practitioners, lawyers, and other professionals from a total of 21 countries in America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Individuals from countries such as Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates attended, whilst renowned speakers from France and Switzerland were also welcomed.
